Dear Magical wizard,

First of all, thank you for your interest in my new course. If you're here, congratulations—you’re in the right place! I’m so proud of you for making it this far. It’s clear that you’re aiming for a higher level of Mandarin, and that’s incredible! But don’t overlook what you’ve already achieved—reaching the beginner level is no small feat. If you’ve made it this far, you absolutely have what it takes to keep going!

You are powerful, and you have the magic within you to make a quantum leap in your Mandarin journey.

I know you ...

- You have long-term plans to live in Taiwan and want to move beyond basic, everyday vocabulary. You’re not content with just getting by—you want to express yourself more clearly, with nuanced words and phrases.

- You can hold a basic conversation, but you know it’s not enough, especially if you plan to work, build a career, or even start a family in Taiwan.

- You want to engage with more academic discussions, follow current events, understand local slang, and even dive into some Mandarin-Hokkien (Taigi) references!

- You struggle to express your deeper thoughts and feelings because you only know basic words for emotions like "sad," "happy," or "angry." But what about "anxious," "irritated," or "motivated"? You want to convey those deeper, more complex feelings too.

- When visiting the doctor, you find it hard to describe your physical symptoms in detail, making it difficult for them to fully understand and diagnose your condition.

- You need more vocabulary for everyday situations, like getting a haircut, going to the post office, or navigating public services.

Or maybe, you’re simply driven and want to level up your Mandarin skills because you know you can do it!

If any of this resonates with you, I hear you. This course was created specifically for people like you.

Here’s the great news: the leap from beginner to intermediate, or even beyond, isn’t as daunting as it seems. Often, the challenge comes from not having the cultural context to fully grasp the language. That’s where my program comes in—with fun, engaging vlogs filmed in Taiwan, I’ll help you immerse yourself in the cultural nuances that bring Mandarin to life.

Another challenge is finding the right learning materials. You need materials that truly understand where you are, what challenges you’re facing, and what you need to overcome them—materials specifically designed to address those issues. Well, guess what? That’s exactly what I’ve created for you!

By the end of this program, you’ll be able to:

- Express yourself more accurately in a variety of situations.

- Make your language more vivid and engaging when you speak or write.

- Describe things with greater detail and clarity.

- Use more nuanced and advanced expressions, helping you better understand Taiwanese movies and TV shows.

- Better grasp what people are saying, especially when they use local slang or shortened expressions.

- Be more specific in what you want to convey, adding richness to your conversations.

- Communicate in a way that resonates with how Taiwanese people speak today.

Now, let’s pour some magical potion and make a quantum leap in your Mandarin journey!

Curriculum (more to come)

The main goal of this program is to help you to level up your mandarin,

Yes! We want to learn advanced words and expressions, but what are they actually look like? It usually involves:

💫 Being more concise.

Advanced expressions are often shorter than beginner-level phrases. Beginners may use simple words to form mini-sentences to describe something, but in advanced language, there's often already a word that sums up that whole idea.

💫Being more specific.

Beginner vocabulary is usually more general, making it usable in many situations. But if you want to express yourself more accurately and with more detail, you'll use advanced vocabulary, which is more specific to certain situations. This helps the listener feel the atmosphere, the vibe, and makes your words come to life.

💫Using expressions & slang.

Due to unique cultural and environmental factors, some situations can only be understood by those immersed in the culture or lifestyle. This is where expressions and slang come in! Knowing these will naturally help you understand Taiwanese culture better. :)
